Chiltepins are known for their fiery bite, and this hot sauce is no exception.  This 6.4 oz bottle of chiltepin (chili tepin) hot sauce is made with 100 percent chiltepins, and is a muy caliente salsa picante!  Chiltepins are one of the hottest chile peppers known to man, and while their heat is quite intense, their fire decreases more quickly than a habanero or serrano chile.   The chili tepin has been called the mother of all peppers, as it is thought to be the chile that all other chiles evolved from.  True chiltepins are small, pea sized peppers that are grown and harvested in the wild in the southern regions of Arizona, Texas and Northern Mexico.

Chiltepin hot sauce tastes great with Mexican and international cusine like seafood, soupos, meats, chips and snacks.  It also makes an extra spicy bloody Mary or bloody Maria (a bloody Mary made with tequila).  This chile hot sauce contains purified water, vinegar, dried chiltepin peppers, spices, salt and 01 percent potassium sorbate as a preservative.
