    Product Information

    1 1/2 ounce package of dried Chipotle Chili Pods.  These chipotle chile peppers are jalapeno peppers that have been smoked and dried.  The word chipotle actually refers to the smoking process used to dry the chiles and impart a wonderful smoky flavor, but these chipotle peppers (also known as Chipotle Meco or tipico) are what is refered to as the true chipotle pepper.  Just crush a few and add to soups, Mexican food dishes, and sauces, or add a little water to rehydrate the chilis and use them in place of fresh peppers.

    Chipotle Tipico peppers range from 5,000 to 10,000 on the Scoville Heat Scale.
